My entire life my vanity and my laziness have battled each other. Vanity was winning until kiddo # 2 came along then I was like "I'm chubby but it's okay I just had a baby". That was defiantly the wrong attitude to have over the holidays. When I got on the scale in January 2011 I wanted to cry, I couldn't believe how far I was from my pre baby weight. When I look in the mirror I no longer see a happy, confident women, now all I see is a muffin top, thunder thighs and flabby arms. Why do I want to be a yummy mummy? Because I want my kids to see the happy confident person I can be.

I want to be there for my kids when I grow up and I don't want to be the frumpy soccer mom that gets made fun of all the time.

I'm ready to have me back before we finish our family in a couple of years.

You can do it!! I lost 76lbs in 6.5 months!!! I did it the right way, too!

For me, I'm just now 28yrs old, and have completed our family (8yr old, 4yr old, 2yr old and 9 month old!). I wanted ME back!

Being a stay at home mom for the last 7 years, has allowed me to lose sight of who I am. I'm sick of not wanting to do anything out side of the house cause I have no clothes that fit. My son's are my inspiration to change and change now. I have a lot to offer my kids but I need to feel comfortable in my skin. I deserve this and so does my family.

Good luck girl! I know you can do it! Just focus on the goal. I bought myself a pair of jeans in a smaller size that I know I don't fit in now, but it's my goal! It gives me that to look forward to!

I am tired of being frumpy!! I am finally in the position to afford decent clothes, and I want to look good wearing them. I want to be 'that' mom. I want to look good, and know I look good.

I also want to be able to teach my children a healthier way of life. We lived on fried foods and canned pasta when I was growing up. My mom would cook occasionally, we ate a lot of chicken nuggets and fries. Fresh fruit was a treat, and we very rarely enjoyed fresh veggies. I had never had asparagus or artichokes until after I met my husband. I want fitness and healthy eating to be a part of our lives, and it starts with me.

My mom is over weight, and I can remember looking at some of the other moms and wishing that my mom would take better care of herself, like they did.
I do not want my kids to do that, I want to set a good example for them, and I want them to be happy and proud of me!!
I also want to be able to look in a mirror without wanting to throw up!!!!LOL!!!

Obviously my daughter is a huge motivator for me to lose weight. I want to have more energy to play with her. My other motivator is being single again after almost 8 years of marriage.

I just want to feel good again. After having Cash, my son, 5 months ago, I've been in this "slump". I LOVE having him in my life but EVERYTHING changes, and it does it in the blink of an eye... including my body. I once was very heavy and surgery got me down to the size I wanted to be. I gained a few pounds but was ok with it, until I got pregnant. I gained 60 pounds (and only 15 of it was baby).

So I owe it to my son, my BF, and myself. After all a happy mom = a happy baby

I gained 34 lbs during the 18 months we were trying to conceive (depression sucks), then a whopping 60 during my pregnancy thanks to horrendous water gain. Fortunately, at the time of my daughter's birth I really didn't care one bit-I was just so happy to FINALLY be holding my baby. But when I looked back on photos, all I could focus on was how absolutely horrible I looked. I didn't have many reasons to be photo'd during our TTC journey, so the 34lb gain kind of crept up. I was down 40lbs 2 weeks after giving birth, but those photos with me weighing 54 lbs more than I was used to were harsh.

I did a bad thing after stalling in my weight loss journey-I went to a diet dr, lost 30lbs, but of course gained it back within 4 months of quitting him. By then, I found out I was pg with #2.

And NOW, I'm just sick of hiding behind the camera. My kids are going to look back and have very few pics of me. It's like if I can avoid coming face-to-face with my own image, maybe I can deny that I'm really as big as I am. Ugh.

Healthwise, too, I want to set a GOOD example for my girls-something my mom NEVER did when it came to health.

Oh-and I remember being at Old Navy when my youngest was about 6months old. I was sick of not having any clothes to wear, and grabbed a pair of super-clearance size 20 jeans off of the rack, thinking that at least I would FINALLY be able to put on a pair of jeans that felt loose. (My old size pre-pg was a 16). yeah. They were tight. I NEVER want to be back there again. I'm a 14 now, and my "dream" size is to be a comfortable 8.

Seems like the recourring theme here is kids...they sure are a great motivator to get healthy! I had my daughter, lost most of the baby weight while nursing and then packed it all back on plus about 15 lbs soon after I stopped. I started realizing how hard it was to keep up with her, how hard it was to roll myslef up off the floor when playing with here and got fed up. I realized I really needed to make my health a priority. I grew up in a house where nutrition and exercise were not important. We didn not watch what we ate. I guess thats why we are all heavy. I dont want that for Sidney,I dont want her to grow up and think that health is not important. I want her to see that regualar exercise and eating good is important and mabye she wont have to deal with the weight issues. I want to be a good role model for my girl.

Well that is the main reason, secondary reason is I want to look hot for my hubby again. When we met, I was a size 5...I wont ever be that small again, but I want to be thin and sexy for him again!

Well I am sure if you all have read my page then you know why I started. It was because of my health. I developed blot clots in both my lungs and most likely from my c-section and birth control but also add the factor that I am obese. I also do not want my daughter to become like me. All or most of my family on my mothers and fathers side are all over weight. I also have a chance at getting diabetes as my mother, grandmother and uncle all had it. So the main reason is I want to live a good healthy life to see my grand children and the way I was heading was straight for a coffin by the time I hit 35.

My kiddos, of course! I had almost always been a decent weight. Maybe 5-10 lbs heavier than I would have liked here and there, but overall, not bad. After getting married, I started packing on the pounds....I guess it was the security or maybe all the crazy shifts I worked while in the military, I don't know. (I don't want to make excuses!!!) Anyhow, my Mom was always big and there were things she couldn't do when I was growing up...I want to be able to go on rides with my kids, play with them, etc. as they grow up. I don't want to sit there and watch them do those things with each other or someone besides me!

I knew I wanted to become healthier after I had my daughter but I also didn't realize how much weight I gained emoticon
So I think it was when Kylie was about 10 months. I went back to school to finish my diploma and this lady was doing her project on BMI. Well when she checked mine I don't think I even made it on her chart. (I also lied about my true weight). That and looking at pictures of when brad and I first met. I realized that this excess baggage had to go.

The breaking point for me was I wanted my son to take swimming lessons. I put on my suit in the mirror and wanted to cry. I am heavier now that I have ever been in my whole life. My whole family is on the heavy side due to my Gram's good ole Southern cooking style. I don't want my son to be made fun of later if life cuz his Mom is fat. I want to take him to the beach, to the water park! I want to be a HOT MOMMY!!! Most importantly, I want to be around to watch him grow up!!!
