I think a PT is great for accountability -- you know someone is expecting you, so you follow through more often. However...I am a Fit Lifestyle Coach and I give that accountability for free! LOL I think though that for people who are new to the gym scene, they can be great assistance in overcoming fears about the equipment, etc.

A good personal trainer would be fantastic but if you don't need the extra guidance and motivation then I wouldn't purchase any sessions - if you find this changes then that's always an option available

Smile .... it makes people wonder what you're up to ;-)

It is far easier to MAKE time to exercise than it is to FIND time to exercise. You want results???? MAKE it happen.

Keep trying - you CAN do it - believe in yourself!

So, I enrolled at a gym and part of the new membership perk is to receive a free personal training session. I went to the session and I believe I received some good out of it. I wouldn't call myself a beginner in the gym world. However, I know there are TONS of workouts out there and I did learn a few more with the trainer. After the session they wanted me to talk about purchasing more sessions. I think a trainer is good to keep things structured yet I don't think I need one. For one I have motivation so I don't really need someone to kick my butt, and two, I know how to workout and get results.. what do you all think about trainers??!!? emoticon or emoticon
