OMG! And I just set myself a new goal of getting up before or when then alarm buzzes in the morning!

I know we all need sleep to function at our best, but it's also important to me to fit as much richness as possible into my life, within the very few hours there are in the day. If that means staying up until 11:30 devouring a good book, soaking in the hot tub, or meditating, I'm going to do that. And sleeping in isn't good for me, because I tend to brood instead of spending valuable, beautiful hours walking in the morning before heading off to work. I wish I were one of those people who needs only 3 hours of sleep a night! What I do, to make up for this full schedule, is to sleep a good 9 hours on the weekends.

Sorry to say that it would be too much of a luxury for me to take on this challenge along with all my others.

Now that school is out as of today and I dont have to be up at 7 anymore, you can COUNT ME IN!!!

We've gone the active route for the past few monthly challenges, so we thought that we'd head a different direction, like to bed!

We all know that sleep is important for weight loss and well being. Still, we find it so hard to get in those 7-8 hours a night, and we are loosing the benefit it can bring to our weight loss and everyday performance. What's worse is that when we do try to get in those necessary hours, we tend to toss and turn.

So this month, we're teaming up with the Spark People Sleep challenge. We're going to prioritize our sleep just as we would our exercise or eating habits. That way we can make it a part of our healthy lifestyle.

The challenge started on June 1st, but you can still join in. Just head to the Spark Teams main page, and click on Challenge Central in the upper right hand corner. Join this month's Official Sleep Challenge. Then come back here to let us know that you've decided to make sleep a priority in your life!

Now, with God's help, I will become myself.
