Tanya, have you had your blood sugar checked?
It sounds like your sugar could have dropped. I agree with Robin that you should eat frequent small meals and also tell your doctor if that continues to happen. Good luck in your journey! Hugs, Judy

Hi Holly,
The whole idea here is Calories in vs. Calories burned, and mainatining a deficit. This is the true way weight loss works! Burn more calories than what you eat each day...BUT, you also want to maintain your nutritional needs while doing this.

When you go to your nutrition tracker, you can turn off the meal plan by clicking on the button below the water glass. You can add your foods manually, and get an excellent idea of your calories eaten through out each day. If you dont' find a food in the data base, you can also search the foods entered by other users and see if someone else has entered something already. Also, if you make a dish from the Spark Recipes, you can enter it into your tracker too.
Let us know if you need any additional help!

Hi, My name is Holly, I am brand new to the site and am trying to figure out how everything works. I have done exchange diets and weight watchers before, and I am wondering, is there somewhere on the site where I can get something like an exchange list? I see that the site creates a meal plan for you, but I was wanting to create my own plan out of building blocks. Any advice would be appreciated :)

Hello and Welcome. And of course THANKS for the compliments - they never get old, do they?? emoticon emoticon

That's is a super simple fix. Go to your SparkPage and click the Edit button on the top right of the page. When it reloads, scroll down toward the bottom of your page, and on the right hand side you will have box titled Personal Signature. Anything you type in there will show up on every post. The spacing is limited, so keep that in mind. I tried to type a bunch of stuff and it truncated it. Ah, you live and learn. emoticon

Keep up the good work!!!

Hi Anita -

First off - i am so impressed by your progress, you are an inspiration to us all. AND, love your page, it's very detail-oriented, great goals and wisdom thoughts - LOVE IT!!!

Quick question for you: how did you put your info at the bottom of your messages, you know, where you have name, weight, measurements, etc??? I was able to place in a weight tracker bar, but the comments are a mystery still.

Thanks so much for the help and awesome encouragement!!! yuliaj

That's a quick and easy one. Select the Community tab at the top of the page and click on SparkPages. There is a search option that allows you to type in a persons username to navigate to their page, from which you can get to all of their blogs.

Hi. I have 2 quick questions. I have a friend who belongs to this site. How do I search for her spark page? When I was playing around a while ago, I posted a comment on a blog. I know the username of the person who posted the blog. How would I find it again? Thanks so much. PS if there is a place I should go for navigation tips , pls let me know- I tried typing my questions in help but it didn't work.

Tanya, it does take a bit for the body to get use to dramatic changes in eating. Everything doesn't have to change overnight. The FastBreak approach allows you to make one change at a time and build onto your healthy new habits. If you haven't signed up for it -definitely give it a go.

Be kind and gentle with yourself and remember this is all about endurance. It doesn't matter if you lose 10 #s the first week if you gain them all back the next one. I very highly recommend eating between meals - it's what keeps me sane and sated. If you plan out your meals at the beginning of the day, be cetain you plan in your snacks and track those as well.

Keep your chin up and stay the course. Health and wellness are within your reach.

I have a question. I just started here and I am counting my calories, working out and trying to be good. But I guess my body is not used to this and I am feeling a little weak and my hands are shaking a little. Is this normal? I should probably have a snack in between meals, right? I am not doing that. It would be great if someone gave me some guidance.

Thank you,

Tanya
