I like dancing, as someone mentioned. Crunches are almost impossible for me to complete. They just feel boring.

Now that sounds exciting...something I haven't really checked into...thanx, I'll head over to my library and see if there's anything there to check it out.

You gain strength, courage and confidence by every experience in which you really stop to look fear in the face.

Don't be afraid to give your best at what seemingly are small jobs. Every time you conquer one it makes you that much stronger. If you do the little jobs well, the big ones will tend to take care of themselves.

The Biggest Loser Game on the Wii has a good core workout. The yoga workout also works your midsection

I've seen the commercials and checked out a few tapes/CD on Tae Bo...they are great abs workouts!

Hip Hop Abs! Shaun T's program really, really works! You just have to remember to incorporate that "tilt, tuck and tighten" and it works very well.

Don't hate abs workouts/crunches SAVANTRICE...just find other ways to do them...most think that you can only do them on the floor, but you can incorporate them in dance form which makes them so much more fun

I also wear a sweat band when I work out. I dont use the hands when I'm on the elliptical to help with balance. and when i'm feeling particularly motivated I may use some ab machines at the gym.
I cant stand ab workouts/crunches/etc...so I just kill the cardio and let that melt the fat at my midsection...so far so good

Just a bit further...

I think you'll love using the stability ball as a chair...I just picked on up and I think it's awesome!

A co worker at work uses a stability ball to sit on at her desk. I thought that was an awesome idea! I'm going to try it at home first!

I would highly recommend a stability ball. I use it to do core training, chest and arm exercises. You can use it to target your core muscles.

I found this series of workouts on youtube bestof09 and wow! I'm adding that to reverse crunches and the slow swimming on the swiss ball.

I really hadn't thought of dance, now I'm getting in my storage and seeing if I can find Richard Simmons old dance exercise videos. I probably have others as well. Thanx for the idea!

This is the end of my first week - scared to weigh and take my measurements but .... Working with the swiss ball has been a reaaaaallll challenge. The older you get the worse your balance is and everything else. But working my mid-section is killing me -- I really know I haven't worked it in years! But I'm determined and there is already a difference in how the waistbands on my slacks fit. Yea! I will get there.
