Hi,
The hardest part for me on the ETL plan was that I was not losing any weight. So, just yesterday, I stopped eating my 1 oz of nuts and have lost almost 2 lbs today. I was listening to a Chef AJ YouTube video and she mentioned the same thing happening to her. So I thought I'd try it. I did add my flax seed to my breakfast though. Maybe I'll add the nuts back once I reach my goal weight because it did stabilize my weight.

I'm still reading the End of Dieting book. I didn't realise salt is not allowed. I have low blood pressure and I'm supposed to have salt.

Thank you for your replies.

Salt and no snacking are high on my list, too. I have not yet found ways to overcome it, as it is I'm glad that I can manage to eat the right foods at my 3 meals and get in a lot more vegetables and fruit than before...

The hardest part was the salt for me too. In fact, I'm still not completely no salt, but I eat very low salt. I know it's not good for the endothelial lining of the blood vessels. I do use more herbs and spices and vinegar, but still, sometimes, nothing but a pinch of salt will do. I don't know if that "pinch" is what is keeping my addiction going though. Maybe I'll be able to give it up completely someday. (that famous "someday")

I also found it very hard to give up cheese. I LOVE cheese! I'm still tempted to buy it.

No matter how slow you go, you are STILL lapping everybody on the couch.

The hardest was and still is salt. I use more herbs and lemon and vinegars now and it is better.
Also I use sea vegetables when I am craving salt and that helps.

Snacking was a bit hard but now I enjoy not having my day revolves around food so much- I eat 2-3 meals a day. I will snack every once in awhile but usually just a piece of fruit

What is the hardest part of ETL for you?

Or, what did you find the hardest part when you started ETL? How did you overcome it, if you did?
