Well, this was the third and final week of the challenge. This is what I did: Three cardio videos, one with Coach Nicole and two with Jessica Smith on youtube. Love Jessica Smith, I highly recommend checking her out if you are looking to add steps to your day in a low impact way. I also added this week on M-W-F, strength training. I did one each of an exercise focusing on upper, core and lower body each day. I feel pretty good and over the last three weeks I have lost 3 pounds. Of course I have been also very diligent about logging food and not going over my calories. The routine I had this week I love and plan to stick with it again next week with one change, I am adding to my strength routine doing 2 exercises of each upper, core and lower body. I have been so focused on doing cardio that I forgot that one must add strength to have a well rounded exercise routine.

So, did anyone else do this challenge? I would love to hear from you. In the meantime, I am trying to think up a new challenge and if anyone has an idea, please shout it out!!!

I did two videos with Coach Nicole this week. The 8 minute cardio interval workout. It doesn't seem like much, 8 minutes, but after that 8 minutes your heart is pumping.

Week 2 starts today!! This week we are changing or adding 2 new routines. Post on here when you have done so that way we can give you a big emoticon .

I added a boxing workout 20 minutes long I enjoyed it . thanks for the idea to switch things up ,

That's great Joanne!!! Way to go on the challenge.

I did the Keeping Fit in Your 50's video which was 21 minutes long. I did this not in place of regular workout, but in addition to my regular walking and light jogging. I felt I needed it more this week due to spending the day at the Big E yesterday and eating a ton of not so good for you food!!

Okay, the challenge starts today!!! I am going to add doing a video on here to my already routine of getting my steps in each day. I will post again when I have done it and how I feel and all of that.

I thought I would get a new challenge going. We all have read that you can fall into a slump where you stop getting results. The all horrible PLATEAU!! But what I have also read many times that you must change up your game to break through that sometimes. Your body gets used to what you are doing, you are not challenging it, so you stop losing weight and inches.

So this challenge is hopefully going to help us. Starting this Sunday, we will have a three week challenge. Each week you are to add or change one of your daily routines of either cardio or strength training. There are many great videos on here that can help with that.

Next week (Week 1) you will add or change one during the week. Then come on here, post what you did different so we can encourage you and cheer you on!!

Week 2 you will add or change two during the week. Again, come on and let us know what you did.

Week 3 you will add or change three during the week. After the third week is over, let us know how you feel after this challenge if it helped you any at all.
