Okay, I've watched Caesar Milan, I have read all the books that say this is natural, but my dog always digs a MASSIVE hole at the bottom of our steps to go outside. This makes the steps unstable (concrete, but the dog is digging partially under them), and the railing practically falls down when you touch it - which is going to make someone fall butt over tea kettle.
So every week I am raking dirt back into the hole and tryingto get it all packed in and such. I had tried the following:
- Ammonia
- Hot Sauce
- Black Pepper
- Some weird dog product (like Stay-Off or something).
AND I EVEN HAVE A BIG DIRT HILL MY DOG CAN DIG IN ALL DAY LONG, he just doesn't like to dig there because we don't rake it all back into the hole.
And he knows he did a bad, because he hides in the back yard behind a tree every time he does it. That's how I KNOW it was him. He admits his guilt, buthow can I deter him. I have to put down a mesh gate over the dirt now so he won't dig again.
Until the next time...
