Why waste time, space and money on a garlic press? KNIFE! Report
A garlic press is a "kitchen basic"? Absolutely not! It's a uni-tasker! No space for uni-taskers in my kitchen! Just use a knife! That's the most outrageous part of the whole article! Get outta town! Report

This seems like a more expensive way to shop. I have cupboards in my garage which is an overflow pantry. I keep many items on hand that I buy when on sale. Canned veggies, tomato sauce, extra pasta & grains, extra spices, & soup for a quick meal when I don't want to cook. I do keep like w/like as much as possible.
My veg bin is lined w/ paper towels, & it all gets stored in separate bags, paper or plastic some torn open. I clean when I need to. Why throw out things that are still okay? Condiments rarely go bad, & some things we don't use often but we want them handy when we are ready to cook or eat. I declutter when I move or remodel, clean as needed. Being a packrat means very little gets wasted.🐨 Report
