This Amazing Dolphin Rescue Will Restore Your Faith in Humanity

When a school of dolphins gets stranded on a beach in Brazil, bystanders all pitch in to help get them safely back into the ocean. A wonderful example of what can happen when people work together for a good cause.

That was amazing to watch.
If those people didn't help, all those dolphins would have died.
I'm glad that people came to help. Report

I'm so glad to see that there are so many men that helped these beautiful animals. Surprised that the women stood and did nothing. Great out come though. Report

Thinking that in some countries/culture
s, (especially in the Latin countries, and I believe this video was made in Brazil?), men consider it an insult to have a woman (or any women) doing what they would consider "hard work" - and as someone else pointed out, those dolphins are not tiny little creatures. Some of the men had to work together to pull the dolphins back out to sea. So it was probably better that she was there to "lend a hand" by holding all of the various possessions that the men were giving to her to hold while they went off to do their gallant "machismo" (sp?) deed. I'm sure they felt like she was "helping" as much as they did, by holding their items (wallets or phones, I couldn't tell). Who knows? she might have been pregnant and didn't want to risk harm to her unborn? But if it had been in USA, ya, sure, I would be out there too, even if I couldn't lift/pull, I could at least stroke the dolphins, and splash water on their sides to keep their skin from drying out until they could be pulled back into the water. And I'm not even really sure why they end up washing ashore? maybe a riptide?? Because they take off just fine once they get redirected back into the water. Oh well. Happy to see them all helping out, in whatever capacity! Report

it's not just that one woman but all sorts of women who are just standing there watching! I can't believe it. I would have been in there first! Report
