Small Success of the Week
 
Jessica recently posted in the Community Goal Feed that she was celebrating a 20-day streak of not having any sodaand the streak is still going! 

What's your overall goal? 
 
My overall goal is to become healthier in general and to be within a healthy BMI range.

How is SparkPeople helping you get there? 
 
SparkPeople helps me stay accountable to myself each and every day, along with giving me a place to be inspired when I am feeling alone in my weight-loss journey. 

What's your biggest challenge right now? 
 
My biggest challenge right now is sugar cravings at night! 

What advice do you have for someone who just joined SparkPeople today?
 
My advice to everyone is to track your food! We're not taught proper portion sizes and it's easy to lose sight of how many calories we're ingesting.

I am so very proud of you! Soda pop has been my coffee since 16 years old. Started trying to get off of it in my 30s. Good amount of damaged done by then but still have all my own teeth......due to much expense. Your struggles are real for it is a real addiction. So much more has been discovered on the destructive "food".You are strong! By doing this now, you are doing so much for your body to be that much healthier when older. You are so awesome. This has encouraged me to keep on my streak. Thank you! Report

Congratulations on "no soda"! I gave that up when I started Spark over 2 years ago. I do not miss it. Try the Sweet Tooth Challenge! My cravings for sweets still gets out of control once in a while so I keep going back when I need a reset! Report
