My Goals:
To not be the fat one in the family photos;
Stop avoiding family gatherings and parties because I'm unhappy with my looks;
Spend more time quilting;
Spend less time thinking about food;
Spend more time riding my bike;
Keep logging my food into the Nutrition tools;
Get some fitness points everyday (no matter how few);
Finish more quilt projects;
Blog once a week on SparkPeople and The Quilt Doctor;
Get back on the wagon when I fall off;
Seek help from SparkPeople when my motivation sags;
Worry less about keeping everyone else happy;
Spend more time doing what I want!

Growing up, I was a skinny kid. I started to fill out in high school, and although I wasn't skinny anymore, I was at a good size. Then came college, marriage, motherhood and the weight kept sneaking up about 5 pounds a year. By 2000 I was over 200 pounds. When I peaked at 212 (about 2004) I joined weight watchers and got down to 172 lbs. I made the classic mistake of thinking I could do it on my own. So, gradually the weight came back and after Christmas 2009, I hopped on the scale and was at 198. I know I didn't want to ever see 200 again and I didn't want to spend the money to rejoin WW, so I searched the web and found SparkPeople.

I want to buy clothes that aren't plus size.

My Program:
I'm tracking all my food. I'm staying away from processed food and restaurant food on a daily basis. I'm tracking my exercise.

My favorite movies are all on Turner Classic Movies. I love Humphrey Bogart, Bette Davis, James Cagney, Cary Grant and Katharine Hepburn.
