2012 is here. Along with the months flying by the weight also came packing on. Starting right here and right now as of two weeks ago, I decided to make a change for good. I need this because I am no longer the confident one. This weight has stressed and depressed me and I don't want to be that woman anymore. So here I am ready for change.

Wow 2011 - A lot of change has happen since I sparked last. Instead of a 100lb loss, I am at a 50lb loss. I have gained 50lbs since moving from one state to another. I have lost my motivation and my self-esteem has went from high to low. I want to get back to being a happy, healthy me! Anybody with advice or has been through what I am going through, please feel free to give some advice.

MY STORY:
Hi, I am Iris. I am so excited to have joined Sparks! My decision to become a healthier me came from two of my closest friends. One of my friends was doing Weight Watchers and the other lost through dieting and exercise. They were and still are my inspiration to start my weight loss journey! I was always very self-conscience as a person weighing in at 287 (the highest weight I have been). I always knew I was overweight, but didn't decide to do anything about it until 2004 when I went to grad school.

MY WEIGHT LOSS:
In 2004, I started Weight Watchers. It was pretty hard considering I had just moved to Virginia and was living on campus. I did continue to try. I even recruited a few friends. I wasn't as dedicated as I thought I was. Even though, I ended up 259.

Then, my cousin decided we should try The Fat Smash Diet in 2006. I didn't see any reason why she should lose weight. She was 160lbs. So in Phase I (Detox), I lost 9lbs within the first 9 days. I was so excited. Then, I moved to Phase II which included lean meats and cheeses! This was a little better! I was on and off of Fat Smash until Jan 2008.

On Jan 212008, I joined SparkPeople in order to receive a Nutrition rebate a work. Now, I am rededicating myself to change!!!
