    Hey lady!

I had commented on your post forever ago and you left a comment on my page:

"Hi! Thanks for your post on my chat. I saw you were going thru some job changes. Might I ask about that? I am trying to gain the courage to make a move professionally as well :-/ I cant keep up this pace, I get all unbalanced. Hope to hear from ya!"

So...I'm a horrible person and fell off the bandwagon for a bit, but I never like to leave people hanging. I was working 3-5 jobs (3 of which were completely up to me to make my own schedule) and running around like a chicken with my head cut off. I was waking up at 6 am, working at one job from 8 - 3:30 pm and rushing to my next job from 4 to whenever we got done (it was high end catering and I worked some shifts anywhere from 8 - 16 hours depending on the day of the week and the event). I was stressed, exhausted and eating my feelings. I was not putting any focus on myself whatsoever.

Fate then jumped in when I was getting promoted at the catering company to a manager of an event space, so I quit my other job that wasn't giving me enough hours to support myself on just one job. After a few months, the catering company decided they promised more than they could deliver and let me go as the "easy" way out of the problem. I had busted my butt for this company and this was how I was getting repaid. Not to mention I put up with verbal abuse and sexual harassment on a daily basis. I was upset at first (because I am type A personality and a perfectionist, so anything below my best is not good enough). BUT, everything happens for a reason.

I was working with a staffing agency (because I have tons of office experience) when they found me the perfect temp job. The company was amazing! Everyone stopped to ask my name and get to know me. It's unlike any environment I've ever worked in before. I did not want to, I busted my butt (like I do) and set up a meeting with the managers I was reporting to. I told them that I was definitely interested in finding out what I could do to make my stay more long-term, which apparently was what they were going to ask during that meeting anyway!

In conclusion, I am so blessed and happy at my perfect job. I am valued, respected and a person (NOT a number!). I cannot explain how amazing that feels to find a place you cannot wait to get to in the morning!

I hope life is treating you kind and that you've gained the courage to make your professional move, because no one should ever have to "put up" with being treated like anything less than they are. Go get 'em girl! :)
