About two years ago, this site was my church. I logged on several times a day to track food and workouts, communicate with great friends, and find my motivation! With this site, I lost over 40 pounds, dropped 4 pant sizes, and went from a binge eating couch potato to a gym addict who ran at least 5 miles a day and had amazing control over my eating. I felt amazing!

If you knew me from back then, you know that I faced many struggles along the way thanks to Lupus. My Lupus threw many road blocks in my way. None of them ever stopped me...Until in January 2009, I came down with a brutal case of pneumonia. At that time, I was told to just take a few weeks off from the gym and I'd be back to normal in no time. I did...and exactly one month later, I had pneumonia again but twice as bad. It was the begining of a vicious cycle and I was treated for 14 seperate cases of pneumonia throughout the year. My lungs couldn't handle much anymore, just carrying the laundry basket to the washer left me out of breath. Between a no-cardio restriction, several steroids and giving up on my eating, I've managaed to gain back every pound I lost plus more, much much more.

But here I am today, back at Spark because I know getting back on track and succeeding won't happen without this place! Even though I've been pneumonia free for 2 months, my lungs have a lot of damage and it's going to be a rough ride, but I'm ready for it :)

    Wow I was reading your story and you are aaammmmaaaazing!!! (I'm also going into graphic design) Thanks for commenting on my blog and thats a good idea about me taking pics now and maybe posting them later when i feel comfortable enough to.     emoticon for both the goodie and the kind words on my blog!! My biggest thing I am slacking on the BDS program is not reading my cards!!! Those really help and keep me focused!! I feel I am really slipping on it and it's making me feel guilty!! Other than that I am still doing pretty good with sticking to my portions and calorie limit!! emoticon
