Fitness Minutes: 7,014

My Goals:
I would like to lose 30 pounds and I will do this by exercising, watching my nutritional food values and staying active.

My Program:
My fitness program is not working out right now (no pun intended). I am fitting in exercise when I can. Instead, I am focusing on quitting smoking and staying that way for the time being!

Activities that I include on a regular basis that keep me active:
-extra walking whenever and where ever I can
-stay busy with outdoor activities eg: rollerblading, gardening, etc.

Regular fitness routine that is on hold:
-strength exercises 3 or 4 days per week.

-A minimum of 30 minutes of cardio 5 to 6 days per week with increased time and resistance levels.

-8 glasses of water per day

Personal Information:
I am married and live in the suburbs beautiful of Vancouver, BC with my husband and family.

I am looking for a buddy to encourage, motivate.

Other Information:
I am an avid reader, but love outdoor activities too. I have an ATV that I have so much fun with. I have a tiny chihuahua that I call me son and love dearly. I guess I am a sucker for the cute and cuddly.

I like to try new things and am looking for an opportunity to go zip lining!!!

    Thank you so much for your words of encouragement. YES, it was all inclusive. I need to get back on track because I am going to a destination wedding in 3 weeks which happens to be at an all inclusive resort. I've been having conversations in my head for weeks but they don't seem to help. I will keep trying until I get it together.

    Thank you for taking the time to post on my blog! Congratulations on conquering smoking that is a great accomplishment. My fiancé recently started smoking again after quitting for..get this...4 years!! It's driving me crazy I hate the smell! he thinks washing his hands and brushing his teeth gets rid of it...nope it sure doesn't! Good luck with the remainder of the week and remember little things do count. Try and stay positive. We can do this!

    Okay, chickee, I see that you're frustrated. Let's get back to basics:-) What is one little baby step you can do - right now - to help you? Can you eat an apple? Stretch for 2 minutes? Take a 5 minute walk? Read a couple of motivational articles in SP? Let go of your perfectionism - just go back to your baby steps, and they'll get you there! I promise:-) Remember - fall down 7 times, get back up 8! I'm on falling down about 7,099, get back up 7,100!:-) I'm learning THAT is the key/secret to this whole healthy lifestyle thing - we're gonna have days/times where we don't do so well - just start back with what we know works! Little things - baby steps - we don't have to be perfect:-)

    Hey, I lost 25 pounds earlier this year, then it's like I took the summer off. But I'm NOT going to let that get me down - I've started back up again, and now I'm on my way! You can, too. The past is past - take it one step at a time - NOW:-) Sure, sometimes the thought crosses my mind that I could be 20-30 pounds lighter now if I had taken my baby steps over the summer. But you know what - I didn't, and I can't change that now. All I can do is what I can do now. So, I can either wallow in what I didn't do, or I can take steps to do what I can do now, be positive, and look forward. I choose the latter!

    I know you can do this! One day at a time! One hour or even minute at a time! You are worth it!:-)

    It's not easy but you're doing great! If only I were two months quit, instead of two weeks, what an inspiration for me!!
