In 2011, I am making a committment to weight loss. I want to be slim enough so that I dont need to worry about health issues, so that I can wear the nice floral dress that I like so much. I dont want to waste my youth. I want to treasure and live my life to the max.

From end 2006 to Sep 2009, I lost about 9kg. Weight loss is a very lovely thing. I felt more in control and better about myself then. It amazed me how different a person can look just by losing weight. I saw a change in the body shape and I think I looked fitter. I received alot of compliments that I have grown prettier and have lost alot of weight, particularly the face and hips. Thats really a lovely thing to hear. : )

I exercised regularly and felt that my fitness level was better. I could run faster and for a longer period of time. I was also feeling more energtic and refreshed. Higher level of self confidence.

What Happened?
Stopped my healthy lifestyle as I was too stressed at work. No time and constantly angry. I began spending long hours at work to clear the even piling workload which is impossible to clear. My life collapsed. I began to feel lethargic and was lazy to exercise. Started craving for lotsa rice and other food. In 1 year 3 months time, I regained all the weight lost and gained 2kg more. Was unhappy and could physically see the growth. Tummy was so big that I couldnt sit properly. Had to sit leaning backwards so that I could breathe better. This is absurd. I have let down myself to reach this stage.

At the start of the year with oatmeal and raisin breakfast, I regained my life and lost 4.5kg in a year. Weight flunctated. Loss was not much. But at least I am happier.

I decided that I shouldnt set an overly ambitious weight loss target. 2010 was 24kg and I only hit 4.5kg. So this year I am lowering the target to 15kg so that I can meet it more easily and stay motivated. I should start getting to work on time. Something that I never manage to achieve in 2010.

At one point, I reached 95.5kg. Was doing very well with food and exercise. Towards the end of the month, I was busy with organising an event in office. Gave myself excuse not to take care of myself. Plus my greediness for all the Chinese New Year goodies, which are typically high in calories, I regained most of the weight that I have lost. Whats over is over, I will bring myself back on track in Feb 11.

I forgot that I started the year being in 97s. Happy that I am maintaining another loss for the month. Will work harder for Mar 11.

Was doing well in the weight loss until something happen. Then I ate to alleviate my fear. . . . .

Total Weight Gained - 3.3kg

Technically, I started May 11 heavier than 94.7kg. Probably 96kg+. But I want to register my lowest weight in 2011 so that I can work towards breaking my own record and creating an even better result. This month is bad. The rate that I lose weight is totally uncomparable with the rate that I can gain weight.
