Six years ago I lost 50 lbs on SP and it was great! Track food, walk, weigh, repeat - the weight really fell off and within a year I was down to 145. After decades of dieting and struggling I finally felt in control of my body in a healthy way.

Then, I got pregnant with my son and suffered through debilitating postpartum anxiety/depression for two years. I didn't leave the house for over a year - I didn't drive, go into a shop, or see other people. My baby was happy and healthy but I was not.

I'm better now but I'm now up to 212 lbs. So here I am again - ready for change and looking forward to making a little progress every day.

I am a single mom, fat (obese, actually, shhh), and I NEED to be a more healthy, confident, active, and happy mom with my kiddo. I hate being the mom who struggles to get up off the floor at the library or who can't really help on the playground if he gets stuck on the monkey bars.

I want to live a full, happy, and joy-filled life with my son. I want him to see that joy can be a choice that we can make for ourselves everyday.

My Goals:
I need to lose 50 lbs to get back to 160 pounds. That's still overweight for being barely 5'4" but after 42 years in my body, I know that it's a good weight for me and one that I can maintain.

My Program:
-Track my weight EVERY morning - this is KEY for me so I can see progress/lack of progress throughout the week
-Plan and enter my meals in the morning so nothing is a surprise
-Stick to 1200 calories and aim to meet the iron, protein, and fiber requirements. Keep sodium below 1000 mg.
-Avoid ALL refined carbs like crackers, chips, and bread - just cutting these out for a two days made my joints feel SO much better
-Drink a glass of water with every meal
-Don't eat after 6:30 pm
-Take as many little walks as my toddler will let us
