East Coast Canadian, turned 50 summer 2014. I've been maintaining fitness more or less for many years, with 3x weekly gym workouts, and walking to work. But I work way too many hours, and 'reward' myself in my downtime with consumable treats. A snack here, a glass of wine there, and after age 40 it adds up fast! Decided 50 was the year to turn things around. Tracking everything and increased the exercise.
July 2015 update: reached my revised goal, now to maintain...

My Program:
Portion control, emphasize protein and produce, reduce carbs. Reduce snacks and alcohol. Eat in SP calorie range.
Exercise 6 days per week. Maintain water consumption.

Thanks for the workout shoes!! I've been engaged for just about a year in a program of pushups, situps, mountain climbers and squats plus stretching/balance yoga routine to accompany the intuitive eating experiment.
