My Program:
Track food
Track exercise
Check in daily

-Exercise 4-6 times per week, 30-45 minutes per day. Walk, elliptical, yoga.
- Strength training: 2x per week.
- Stretching: every day after aerobic exercise.

- yoga 1+ times per week

- meditate 3x per week

- minimize sugar and alcohol (once/week for alcohol, one daily treat)
- Work through the Beck Diet Solution book. (began June 2016).
- Understand connection between feelings, needs and emotions,and food.




Personal Information:
Born in Kansas. Grew up in the SF Bay Area. Living in the Sacramento, CA area which I love. Married with two mischievous yet loving kitties. Worked in public service for 26 years and proud of it. Recently retired and working on taking care of myself and finding out who I am after being work-focused for much of my life.


Other Information:
I love to run but have had injuries over the past years so mainly walk, hike, cycle and swim. I was training for my first triathlon when I broke my ankle (getting into a kayak!) I hope to be able to train for one again. I also like being outside, the ocean, the mountains, animals, especially our two kitties, reading, watching movies and TV series, spending time with my good friends.

    I follow vegan groups online, too. There's John Robbins and his son Ocean, with their Food Revolution Network. They give free webinars. And Dr. Greger and Dr. McDougall, and others. It seems the most health enhancing way to eat, and best for the planet.

    I was taking a Free Quit Sugar Challenge with "Chef AJ", but dropped out. Too steep a learning curve for me. A bowl of greens for breakfast? Too extreme a makeover for me!
