I am 73 and am retired. My "profession" was medical transcriptionist. I have so much I want to enjoy, plus spending a lot more time with my horse. I live with my husband and 2 cats.

I want my weight loss journey to be a real "life change" and not just a big "push" to lose weight. So, I am taking it very slow and steady. Motivation and stress eating are my biggest downfall so I need to really work on that. I can see an improvement in my overall view of this journey since being on Spark.

I don't want to use my age as a "reason" not to keep up with my exercises but I also have to be realistic and know that I'm not as strong as I used to be.

My Goals:
My goal is to lose sufficient weight to feel strong and energized.

My Program:
I have been walking for 30 min. or more at least 2 days a week for over a year. 2 days a week I work with my horse for a couple hours a day. Due to back pain, sometimes I ride my horse and other times I just take him for a walk on the trails. The time I do this fluctuates with how my back feels.

I've been doing strength exercises, gradually increasing the time, for a couple months.

I know this may not sound like a great deal of exercise but, for a 71 year old lady with arthritis, I try to do what I can and not feel bad about not doing more. I try to keep my exercise sessions interesting and increase the time and effort when I can.
