Hi
My name is Randall Gautreaux. I live in Central Ohio, Columbus, That is where the name of Cajunbuckeye comes from, Cajun is what I was born and now I'm a Buckeye through and through. the best of both worlds. I have been a member since 2009 and have stopped and started too many times to talk about,
Another new chapter to talk about is my marriage, My wife of some thirty years left me right before Thanksgiving, She moved in with her new love, left me in the house with my dog Scruffie, So now I am trying to sell this place to see if I can restart my life as she has restarted her life. With me with no family up here in Ohio to support me its hard to stay focused on what I need to do healthwise and then continue on how I can focus looking forward, its been hard to get a glimpse of what my life might look like in the near future, but one day at a time is all I can move right now, no car so I am depended on friends to take me to the grocery, a transportation company for rides to the VA for appointments, but I have a company interested in the house so maybe I can sell it and start anew, a friend said I could move an RV in the back half of their land rent-free so that just might work out you can get a reliable one for around 10grand or so, that is one option,,,,, could go home to Louisiana but the oxygen I use 24/7 is a must...another hurdle to jump over... ONE DAY AT A TIME, ONE STEP AT A TIME.My new quote......

As I have been told "SLOW MOTION IS BETTER THAN NO MOTION" That is my new montra........being hooked up to a airline all the time my movements are curtailed to the length of the line, i have tripped over and stepped on and finnally realized they hey stupid your standing on your airhose and one good gush of air will hit my nose..... so one step is better than two ..... as long as we keep going forward we shall succeed......
    Have a good afternoon

I read your comment on another's page and I can relate to the health issues, this is the main reason for me losing weight also. I am happy to find spark people because it is a way for me to communicate with others with the same issues or near the same as me. Together we can help and motivate one another, share feelings and not feel intimidated. My mobility is limited and speaking of the bike, I have a bike attachment to my resistant chair and couldn't do it at first, my husband would have to get on floor and do one leg at a time, but now I am doing 4 minutes alone. That is progress. So as long as we take those small steps forward it is ok.. emoticon

Totally agree with you there. My youngest one is a sophmore this year and i embarrased myself at my oldest son graduation when i could not keep up with the family so i was left behind like the weakest animal in the pack or something....hahhahahaha but anyway this son i want to be able to walk to the ceremony without my airtanks and that gives me two years to work on that goal....at least if i lose my weight i wont have as much to carry there.....
    Have a good afternoon....

Good morning! I read your post on my page and I can really relate to the health issues. I also have sleep apnea and sleep with a cpap machine every night. I am pre-diabetic and don't want to swerve over that line. That is my main reason for joining this group. That, and my eating disorder has completely gotten out of hand. I am a compulsive overeater who is addicted to sugar. Thank God for the 12-step programs! I'm so glad you are taking this journey to help your health. It's never too late to start!
