I have been working at this for a few years now but I have only been working at it diligently for the last couple. I have seen progress not only in my weight and inches lost, but also in my energy, stamina and determination. I have a new outlook on life. In 2013, I enjoyed pushing myself to try things that others said I couldn't do and I enjoyed pushing myself to work harder than I thought was possible. 2013 was the year for me to work on me. A year dedicated to showing myself how to Enjoy Life and Enjoy ME! I can honestly say that I have more days than not where I can look at myself in the mirror and see all my imperfections, but not focus on them. I can see my imperfections AND yet appreciate them because I've worked hard to get to where I am. I can see my imperfections and still know that I am beautiful...and not just on the inside, but on the outside as well! Throughout 2013 I used the phrase "Challenge Accepted" more than I ever have and so I decided that my motto for 2014 is going to be "Challenge Accepted!" I'm not going to just think it, but I'm going to say it as well. I want others to know that I may see something as a challenge, but it is still something that I plan to conquer! I will spend this year looking for new things to push myself and returning to old things that I gave up on. I'm done with letting my old mindset determine how I may or may not be able to live my life. I am a new person both mentally and physically and it is time for me to let the world get to know the new me!

Pre 2015 update and plan for the new year: 2014 was not as good as I would have liked. A lot of stressors really affected my eating habits, which in turn affected my weight. So with that being said, I am starting 2015 weighing in heavier than I have in over a year and that really sucks, but it is my reality. For Christmas I received a Garmin Vivofit and in setting that up, I created a MyFitnessPal account to link to it. So for 2015, my plan is to not only use my new Vivofit and my "old" SparkTracker to consistently check how I'm doing and give me accountability. The Vivofit even "yells" at me if I'm not moving the form of a red line that grows with more inactivity. This year I will work on remembering that I am more important than my excuses. Remembering that I am stronger than my excuses. And also remembering that my excuses won't do anything to make me happy or healthy. 2015 will be MY year.
