A Size 14


So being a size 14 is not the goal most people losing weight expect to hear. I do not want to be a 2, 4 or even a 10. A 12 would be skinny on me and impossible to maintain. I did that once in high school with 4 hours of basketball practice and a pack of cheese crackers for lunch. So I want to be a 14. I'm 6'1". If I get down to 180, that will just put my BMI at a healthy range and probably make my 16's loose.

I have an 8 year old daughter that will probably never have the ...

I have an 8 year old daughter that will probably never have the weight issues I did as a kid. She has the tall lanky build of her dad. BUT - having been a coach I know all about fat skinny people. I want her to see my exercise and know it's important. I want her to see me eat vegetables and to consider healthy food choices and to know that what you put in your body effects so much!


I've got a trip to Vegas June 3rd and I want 185. I got to 188 last year but I couldn't hold on to it!

 Jari RTTC 3 x week
Turbo jam CP1 3 x week

Abs Diet (or something like it)
1800 cals/day
no eating after 8

    LOL...they say your children always turn out to be what you least expected. I remember Coach Lange used to always have her daughter at our basketball practices with a ball in her hand. Now I think she is about 6 and loves to cheer and all about makeup...lol..Well you should ask if women are allowed to play in that league. I think many women don't because they assume they can't but most leagues, especailly church leagues allow women to play. It doesn't hurt to ask besides I love it when women show guys up on the court. ;)

    Yes I am so proud of my Alumni. They have came a long way since I've been there and I am proud to be apart of that history considering I was on the starting team in 1999 when UALR re introduced women's basketball. A couple of my old teammates go to St. Marks and if I am not mistaken they have played for them. Shemeka Strong and Maleka Sweat are their names. There are many leagues in Little Rock that are for men but allow women to play. We played on many. Dunbar also has a women's league that goes on from April til about June. I'm not playing anywhere. I've just kind of gave up my hoop dreams. Maybe my daughter will leave out my dreams if she decides to play basketball.
