    emoticon If you like to read, there's this book that I just started reading last night: "Slow Burn -- Slow Down, Burn Fat, and Unlock the Energy Within" by Stu Mittleman.

    He's a runner and so he's writing within the context of running. However, it doesn't matter if you aren't a runner, because the things he talks about are still applicable in other ways. I have been glued to this book for its motivation, as well as the way he draws you into understanding why we think the way we do and how to think differently.

    The book I have is a library copy, and by the third chapter, I got on to Amazon.com to find a copy and so bought my own! (Used copies are on there for $3 + $4 shipping.)

    But since you ARE a runner, you might find this book in your library and check it out. He advocates slow running so that it's easier on the joints.
