The last time I was on SP was in June 2013 and life was good. I was a newlywed and even though I had gained a few pounds I was feeling good and gearing up to really tone up. Little did I know that my life would be turned upside down in a few short months.

To make a LONG story short I became incredibly sick and no one knew why. I went from hospital to hospital, doctor to doctor, and had 3 surgeries to try to help and nothing did. I sunk into a deep depression and began to hide my feelings in food. It has been almost six years and I am slowly starting to feel better. They found tumors on my spine that could be the cause of a lot of my pain but PTL they are not cancerous. I still struggle with severe migraines, fibromyalgia, psoriatic arthritis, as well as pain in my lower back from slipped discs.

Oh and did I mention that my emotional eating mixed with many of my medications has led me to gain a tremendous amount of weight? The picture on the left of me and my boys in May 2013 I was 140lbs.

I am currently 250lbs.

I am so ashamed of who I've become. I have become a recluse, not wanting anyone to see how much weight I've gained. That's why I haven't been back on SP since 2013. I look at these pictures and how hard I had fought to get my baby weight off and now I am even bigger than my heaviest photo on here! It's shameful! I know I've been through so much medically but I still fault myself, especially since I did emotionally eat.

Spring Break was a few weeks ago and we went to my in-laws. I don't know what happened while we were there but something just clicked. It's time to get back to being focused, determined, and disciplined. If I've done it once then by the grace of God I can do it again right?!

The only problem is...I don't know where to begin. What once worked for me doesn't seem to be working now. So I am going back to the beginning of my original weight loss journey. I am coming back to SparkPeople and I am going to lose 100lbs and this time I am keeping it off for good!!

My life is all about my faith in the Lord Jesus Christ, my husband L, and my family. I have two teenage boys who inspire me every day to be a better ME and a man that supports me in everything my little heart desires.

I am an accounting assistant for a transportation company and I love my job! I get to work with some amazing people and use my organizational skills.

I hope one day to get this life figured out and find my true calling but until then I am focusing on finding joy in the little things and being me!

    emoticon So glad to see you are back!! I check MoD to see who has been chosen and often it is someone who hasn't posted in ages, and I do hope that it will bring them back. I've been here for 12 years. Started at a horrible 214# and I'm at 136.4# today. I've had to stay or I know I'd be about 314# by now.
    I know that Sparks doesn't promote medication, but the endocrinologist I found put me on Metformin, a weekly shot of Bydureon (he says it is great for blood sugar but also helps prevent nerve disorders like Parkinson's, etc.), Baclofen (muscle relaxant as I had hand cramps and leg cramps, so I sleep better.) Acarbose with meals, Progestrone (I'm 70), and Vitamin D3.
    Many illnesses now they find are connected to gut bacteria. I eat raw pickles or sauerkraut daily as fermented food is good for us.
    I'm sorry you have had so many health issues. I took Prozac for 14 yrs. (I'm off it now) but it just made me feel NORMAL.
    My blood sugar had been 115 and diabetes starts at 126 but my doctor said I was close enough and the Metformin has it at 100 now, so I don't have cravings like I did and I was able to control my eating, especially at night. I lost 20# the first month on the medication as I had about 10# of swelling.
