"Don't spend a lifetime wishing you did, spend the rest of your life knowing you did!"

** A Little About Me: **

My name is Kelly, I'm in my early 30's and I have been on this weight loss journey probably most of my life. Even in High School when I weighed 145-155 I thought I needed to lose weight. Now I would be happy with 160. I have said dozens of times I'm going to lose weight. Well, now I'm done having babies, my best friend is really on a roll losing weight since we did a Biggest Loser Competition. So she is very motivating right now. I need to get my heart truly into this process and set goals and take it day by day.

** My Background: **

I am a christian mom of 2. I am happily married and live in NE Ohio in Ashtabula County. My reason for losing weight is two fold. First and foremost it is the one area of my life that I am not successful in. I've succeeded in many other aspects of my life. Being a good wife, a loving mother, serving my church, a listening friend, etc... When it comes to doing my best for others, you can always count on me. But when it comes to being there for myself and sticking it through, I usually let myself down. I guess I am so concerned about letting people down and finding approval that I put my own needs on the back burner.

The second reason is: On the outside I appear strong and put together, but my weight and eating habits are the one area that keep me from "feeling" that about myself. I want my outside personality and my inside personality to match. I want to be genuine and authentic and by carrying around almost 50 extra pounds, this is not possible because I'm always second guessing I how look and how I feel about how I look. A confident person doesn't second guess. And as I said, in every other area of my life - I don't second guess my decisions...but when it comes to eating and caring for myself - I usually fall short.
