I'm proud of you for having insight around why you're making the choices that you're making. It can be really hard to face those things! I was thinking about the same things yesterday, wondering why I continuously make choices that go against my healthy lifestyle goals, because I just love eating. I love the taste of food, I love trying new food, I love going out to eat and drink with friends. I love the social aspect of eating and drinking. I live in one of the best foodie/wine/craft beer areas of the country. I know in the past that I've managed to balance my healthy lifestyle with doing the things I really enjoy (eating, enjoying good wine, etc), but I haven't gotten back to that balance lately. And that was when I lived in Tucson and there wasn't the food scene there is in Portland.

You've got one year to retirement, and I'm starting to think that next year is the year for a baby for me. I've been slow to come around to that idea too :) We've been married for almost 7 years, but I haven't been ready to give up "just us" yet, but I need to get started soon if I want to have a 2nd before I'm in a really high-risk age group. One of the biggest things stopping me is my health. Not only will pregnancy be super uncomfortable at this weight, it wouldn't be healthy. If I'm going to be an "older" parent, I need to work at being able to keep up with them because it won't come so naturally. So I really need to reflect on this and decide what means more. The rational me knows that having a healthy pregnancy is more important, but in those moments, I know I'll pick the unhealthy habit, and I need to find a way to change that pattern.

I did great yesterday, toast. I really want chips and ice cream so I'm trying to resist going to the market. This has not been a good week for me. My head just isn't in a good place this week. My summer is half over and I don't want to go back to work in September. I have one year to retirement. I keep telling myself it will go by fast and I can do it, but it is going to be a hard year. I just don't want to face it. I think I'm eating and watching TV through my summer to avoid thinking about it.

Oh my gosh, I totally agree its so much easier to stay on track after you've been on track for a few days already. I just need to get that few days under my belt!!!

Started really good today, until about 6pm. It could have been worse though, so I need to focus on that.

Its ok to struggle. What's important is that you do get back on track, and keep making progress. "Progress, not perfection!".

I had a great day yesterday - tracked and stayed within my calories!!! WAHOOOO!! I had an appointment after work and I ran out of time to work out, but that's ok.

Then today, I planned to go out for a beer with my husband before he goes out of town, but I tracked for it, stayed light the rest of the day, and made it work. I had something crazy come up tonight and ended up spending an hour on the phone with my cousin, which took away my workout time, but I still have plenty of time this week to get in my cardio. Its going to happen!!

Doing great today huh!? Yay!!!! Good job!!!! My day turned out busier than I had planned but it was good. The last day of my weekend. I went raspberry picking and did some some physical housework. My dinner choice wasn't great, but I'm still happy with the day.

Tomorrow back to work and my routine! It's usually easier to stay on track on work days! Here's to a fantastic Tuesday!!!
