Introduction Text I have known that I am overweight for quite a few years. This year the scale went over 200 for the first time. I was in denial until I went to this year's Coastermania at Cedar Point. I needed help getting belts buckled on most of the coasters. I have never had that issue before. That was a huge wake-up call for me. I came home with a new dedication to watching what I eat and getting to the gym on a regular basis. And almost as if on queue, I am getting a bit of motivation at work...A "Biggest Loser" challenge that will last 3 months, complete with weekly weigh-ins. There is a small buy-in and the biggest percentage of weight loss will win the entire pot. My short term goal is to win the money, but my long term goal is to be much slimmer by the 1st weekend in June, so I don't need help getting secured in the coasters.

Short term goal - lose 27 pounds by September 13th, which will hopefully be enough for me to win the Biggest Loser at work. Long term goal - get into healthier habits of working out several times a week and eating better so that I lose at least 50 pounds by June 1, 2012

Getting up early so I can go to the gym before work, since it is closed after work. Eating healthier, which will include taking better lunches to work.

Add a Link Total weight loss goal is 70 lbs. I am breaking the large goal into smaller goals. I have reached my first goal of 27 lbs, and starting my 2nd 27 lbs goal!
