Feel no guilt in laughter, he knows how much you care, Feel no sorrow in a smile that he's not here to share, You cannot grieve forever, he would not want you to, He'd hope that you can carry on, the way you always do, So talk about the good times and the ways you showed you cared, The days you spent together, all the happiness you shared, Let memories surround you, A word someone may say, Will suddenly recapture a time, an hour, a day, That brings him back as clearly as though he were still here, And fills you with the feelings that he is always near, For if you keep these moments, you will never be apart, And he will live forever locked safe within your heart.

Sorry for the loss of your father. I was reading about Lauren Hutton, who was a world famous model, who holds the record of the most Vogue covers (26) and she is 76 now. She said her mother met her Dad back in World War 2, they got married, she got pregnant and he got sent over-seas. Lauren was born in Nov. 1943 and her mother wrote to tell him, then she got a divorce. He wrote Lauren a long letter telling her to never give up on what she wanted in life and to do it all. He died at 24 and Lauren said the biggest disappointment of her life was she never met her father. Her mother was very beautiful but also a "user" of many people, and she remarried when Lauren was 8 and had 3 more girls, who Lauren raised. She left home at 18 and worked as a Playboy Bunny, then in New Orleans as a cocktail waitress while going to college. She then went to NYC to be a model and was turned down by 6 agencies and finally Eileen Ford signed her. She said she worked for everything she had and never forgot what her father wrote to her. 207 days ago
