Introduction Text My BMI tells me I am obese, tho I only feel overweight! Who cares what label I have, I need to get in better shape. And maybe my high blood pressure will go down, too. Wasn't really too motivated to get in shape til I saw SparkPeople! I was hooked in a day! Started spark nov. 06 at 83 kilos. As of Oct, 2007: no longer obese!!!!!(73,3 kilos) Oct. 31, 2007: found a lump on my right breast Nov. 15th, 2007 lumpectomy dec. 4th started chemo mar. 28th 08 done chemo and weigh 77 kilos!!! Yuck back to being obese!!!) April 22 08 starting radiation May 30th last day of radiation! 79 kgs

Maintain present weight while doing radiation or go down. Eventually get down to 73 again.

- walk 6000 steps a day - drink 2-3 liters of water a day -eat 6 fruits and veggies a day

I am from Pennsylvania, but have been living in Norway for 25 years! I teach the deaf and hard-of-hearing.

Like to knit (mostly socks and other small items that I can finish) quilt (i am just a beginner, have made countless potholders and placemats!) garden (organic, mostly herbs and vegetables, tho in recent years I have been getting interested in lupines, fuchsias and sunflowers. read - I read a whole lot! Some favorite authors are Jodi Picoult, Elizabeth George, Maeve Binchy, Barbara Pym, Marion Keyes, Jane Austen. Live on a little farm near the sea, right now we have a (fat) dog that gets lots of walks, a cat, a rabbit, and about 6 hens. Norwegian hubby and 2 kids.
