Well, 2017 was an interesting year. It started off with me in much pain with my Trigeminal Neuralgia. But, after undergoing a procedure to eliminate that pain, things have been better. I met my goal to run the Hartford Marathon and almost made my goal of losing 15 pounds. New goals this year will be to run Philly Marathon in November, lose 10 pounds by the end of the year (to finally put me at my ideal weight) and to work on strength training 3 times a week.

I realize i need the training to be able to run faster and I need to run faster if I am to beat my last years marathon time.

I felt honored this year that the SP bloggers were inspired by my blog about my marathon and my achievements with my weight loss that they did a member spotlight on me. This link is in one of my blogs if anyone is interested in reading it. I hope that it will inspire others.

I am looking forward to a really great 2018!!

Fitness Minutes: 22,589

My Goals:
Setting small goals this year.

Goal 1: Lose 10 pounds by the end of the year.

Goal 2: Run Philly Marathon in November.

My Program:
Cardio: Running 5 times a week making increases to meet goals to run a marathon.

Eating: Min 8 glasses of water a day, making sure I have minimum of 5 servings of fruit and veggies a day.

Strength Train: Work on my strength training 3 days a week

Personal Information:
Happily married for 36 years.

Three fabulous kids, 30, 27 & 22

Other Information:
Love gardening and crocheting.

    emoticon I haven't been on here for so long - my partner has been quite ill and is a seriously demanding patient so something had to give. Today is my first day Sparking for about six weeks and it was great to come back and find YOU on my page XXX
    I'm pretty exhausted with all that's been going on but have slept on and off all day now that Gerry has been given very much better news so life is looking up.
    Very happy to hear that your time in Ca was good - and you obviously survived the flight - very unpleasant I imagine if you dislike flying. Sure the time with your family made it worthwhile though.
    What GREAT news re your TN pain - must be so great to be pain free and the reduction in meds is the icing on the cake!
    How's the running going - guess the marathon must be very soon - hope you've been able to keep up the training.
    Lovely that we're both back here and can resume the friendship - makes me very happy.

    Have missed you, but do understand why sometimes we need a break from here. Doing good for the most part, except for the daily aches and pains. Plus, I hyper-extended a tendon on my knee a few days ago and have to deal with that by taking it easy and icing it . UGH. Can't believe I did it, but oh well, it is better now. Had a nice vacation a few weeks back and posted a photo/video blog about it, if you want to check it out. Not much going else going on. I am only 2 pounds away from the 100 pound loss ...if I can just stop eating bad foods, I would get there sooner. Sigh. How are you feeling...still pain free? I hope so. Thanks for stopping by.
