I'm from Texas and starting this fitness journey in October, 2011.

I will keep this verse in mind as I move ahead: "I can do all things through Christ who gives me strength."

I enjoy reading and games such as sudoku, scrabble, 42, and spider solitare. I'm a fan of the Baylor U. Lady Bears.

Fitness Minutes: 17,942

My Goals:
Drink at least 8 glasses of water daily.
Eat healthy with at least 5 fruits or veggies per day, and less salt.
Exercise and strength train 3-4 times per week at fitness center.
Read the Bible through in 2012.
Read something positive each day.

Accomplished: (1/1/12 check of BMI was back in healthy range.YEA!)

My Program:
To meet my goals I am focusing on healthy foods with plenty of raw veggies and fruit, plenty of water, and at least some form of exercise at least 5 days per week. I try each day to read a devotional with scripture and other positive books,etc.

Personal Information:
I'm from central Texas, about 30 minutes from Waco, living on a small ranch with my husband of 52 years. I retired in 2009 after teaching mathematics at MCC, the community college in Waco.

5/17 WTH 30.5/36.5=0.84

Other Information:
I have 2 grown daughters and their husbands and 6 grandchildren in my immediate family. The older 2 "grands" are married now.
We enjoy going to Colorado in the summer to enjoy the beauty of the mountains.
My verse for 2012:
"Show me your ways, LORD, teach me your paths. Guide me in your truth and teach me, for you are God my Savior, and my hope is in you all day long" (Psalm 25:4-5).
