I started Spark People in December of 2014. I was not having any success on my own. I joined the 5% Challenges and lost 27 lbs in 2016. I did not lose any weight in 2017 due to poor stress management. The challenges have really helped me with healthy living habits. My goal is to be 25 pounds lighter by the end of 2018. I don't want to lose weight quickly. I have done that in the past only to gain it back and more. I have changed now in that I want to lose it slowly with lifestyle changes and keep the weight off. I am going to focus on behavior modification in 2018. My word for 2018 is "Relax". My mantra is going to be, "Eat more veggies!"

My Goals:
I want to become healthier. I want to be able to move with little or no pain.

My Program:
I will make healthier eating choices by following the Sparkpeople's Diabetes Nutrition Plan. My exercise plan is to do a 10 minute cardio session three times a week and 10 minutes of strength training two times a week

My name is Doris. I live just outside of Orlando, FL. I love to play games on the computer and enjoy reading a good book. I am an accountant with a CPA firm and have now decided to not pursue becoming a CPA. Although, I do love what I do, the work load is extremely heavy during tax season.
