Just trying to reach my goal weight of 150. I've made a lot of progress on my own but have been stuck at the same weight for the past year and a half and nothing has helped me move forward. So here I am hoping that I can find some motivation to achieve my goal.

well my 1 year spark anniversary has come and gone and somehow i've gained more weight in the past year than in the past 3 yrs. obviously, i don't have my head in the game and need to take care of that ASAP! i've found that the first half of my weight loss journey happened really easily and the pounds just flew off. now, its not so easy and the stress level in my life has increased to boot. i'm an emotional eater and this has been a recipe for disaster.

i haven't and will NEVER give up but my mojo has been a bit awol lately. to try and get it back i've been writing motivational words all over the place and have daily emails sent to myself to remind me to stay on track. if you have any suggestions i would love to hear them and if you need a spark buddy i'm always here!

despite not having made any progress on the scale, i've learned more in the past year than i would've thought possible. SP is simply AMAZING!!! the resources, the people, the whole community; without it all i would be even farther from my goal and i say thanks every day that i've found such an awesome little world that i never even knew existed : )

Goal by 06-27-2012: lose 50 lbs in one year and never look back!

Fitness Minutes: 69,949

My Goals:
I set a half way goal for the end of the year (2011) to lose 26 lbs. i put up 26 post-its to represent each pound and slowly yet surely, by the end of the year they will ALL be gone!

Each month i would like to lose 4 lbs at a minimum which is totally doable if i stay on track.

Ultimately i'd like to get down to about 150-160. I've never really been at that weight and don't know how i'll look when i get there so i guess we'll find out where my sweet spot is when i get there.

My Program:
I try to exercise for at least an hour every day.

5-6 days a week i go to the gym and do 20 min cardio, 20 min strength, 20 min cardio.

i also love a good walk and go for about 3 miles 4-5 x a week.

exercise dvd's are awesome and jillian michaels and jackie warner always have the goods to whip my butt in shape whenever i need a change of pace.

Personal Information:
I'm 23 yrs old, 5'11" and currently a Chemistry grad student at Cal State University Northridge.

Although i love chemistry, the last couple of years as a student have been incredibly stressful (just check my grey hairs) and instead of the freshman 15, i gained a grad student 20. i am tired of not having the body i want and deserve and am determined to reach goal before i graduate so that i can enter the "real world" as the most amazing person ever with the most kick a$$ body ever!

    Erin - thanks for all the support you have been for me thru out this trying last year. Going to continue to take some time out to help settle my sister's affairs and just mourn her passing. I am happy for her that she is no longer suffering but it leaves a hole in my life right now. I will be back when the time is right. Keep up all your hard work - you are a big inspiration to me.
