RUN HAPPY!!!
I guess it is was time to upday my profile...it's been a minute.
I feel like it has been forever ago that I joined SP, 13 years...that's crazy...but it wasn't until 2008 that I really found my groove and set in motion a lifestyle change that would forever change my life.

I feel like it has been forever ago that I joined SP, 13 years...that's crazy...but it wasn't until 2008 that I really found my groove and set in motion a lifestyle change that would forever change my life.
Overweight, depressed and very unhappy, I stumbled across an article about how walking 30 minutes a day was more effective at treating depression than most anti-depressants. With currently being on 7 medications for anxiety, depression, mood stabilizers, etc...I figured I didn't have anything to lose...I started walking every day, slowly started making better food choices, and drinking more water, next was getting portions under. Nothing happened overnight, but it did happen. Over the course of the next few years, I lost over 100 pounds and have kept it off.
While I may struggle from time to time, injuries may sideline me, weight may creep back on. I never stop, I just do the best I can with each situation that arrises. I always remind myself where I was when I started and how far I have come. And every day is a new opportunity to do better and be better than we were yesterday.
Never stop working on you, you are worth it!!!
