Today's the Day I start new. March 7th, 2011! That's it! Today's the day to finally DO something about my overweight body. Today's the day I finally start taking care of myself. Today's the day that I will matter and not feel guilty to do so. Today is the day!

I'm tired of being overweight. I'm tired of not having the beautiful clothes that I want to wear fit me. I'm tired of even thinking about it. I'm tired of struggling to bend, twist, reach or do any kind of physical activity. I'm tired of breaking a sweat with the smallest physical activity that I do. I'm tired of feeling tired, bloated and downright heavy. I'm tired of the burden of feeling this way only to wake the next morning at the same place. I'm tired of making excuses for not doing something about it.

To STOP eating those darn Hershey Symphony bars! ;)

Personal Information:
Originally, I'm from Rhode Island. In 2004, we moved to Pomfret, Connecticut where we lived until August 2010. From there we moved to our current location-- Spartanburg, South Carolina. A bit of a culture shock, to be sure, but we are adjusting nicely. The South is a very nice place to live!


Other Information:
I'm married with four kids and seven grandchildren. I have only one child at home now and she's in college. I also have my two beloved "fur kids"--my boxers Gracie girl and Millie beans and one kitty named "Miss Kitty". I love God, my church and brethren, my husband, children and grandbabies. Children in general. I'm a professional floral designer though not working now, so I love flowers of all kinds. I love animals of all kinds. I enjoy outdoor bird watching and feeding. Creating backyard wildlife habitats, organic gardening-both flowers and vegetables-cooking/baking/canning/sharing! I also enjoy reading, scrapbooking, sending cards and notes, crafting, and knitting/crocheting..although I'm just learning. I love Jason Mraz music, TCM movies from 20's to 50's. I love painting, dancing and crafting of all kinds. I'm going to learn how to play that guitar leaning against the wall! Ha! Whew! Oh, and I love friends!!

    Welcome to the new lifestlye (not diet). Just keep poking around on the site. There a alot of helpful resources and ways to earn sparkpoints.
    I've been successful doing low fat, low sodium and not a lot of red meat. My cholesteral went down 60 points also.
