Hi, I'm 40 something and looking to get healthy. I have an in home daycare that I have been doing for 29 years now. I don't have any children of my own, just a couple of dogs and a great husband! I'm afraid one of my downfalls is that I love to drink wine. Thats one of my biggest hurdles besides not getting exercise. I'm a forever dieter and would like to make this a worthwhile journey. Looking forward to meeting some wonderful people here at SP.

OK, it's been a year now, and I've had some setbacks along the way, but still managed to stay with SP. To all of the wonderful people (family, friends, and sparkfriends) who have been there for me from the beginning, I want to say thanks. You've helped me so much. I'm trying to learn that I need to put me first ( although it's hard sometimes), and that I need to really focus on what's important to me. If I can really learn to accept me for me, then I'm halfway home. I am committed to me this time, and I will get healthier this year. Life is way too short as it is, so I want to live the best life I possibly can.
Here's to another great year!

Well, here I go again in 2010. No great promises this time. I'm only going to promise to myself that I will do what I can. If I fail at my attempts, I'll just get back up and try again. What's that quote? "Many of lifes failures are people who didn't realize how close they were to success when they gave up".

My Goals:
I would like to feel better and look better in 2009. I want to make good choices in everything I do. I Want to be able to go on long walks with my husband without being totally out of breath. I would like to be able to stop taking some of my meds that go hand in hand with being over weight. These are some of my goals and I will accomplish them!

I used to have my own strawberry patch but Imoved my garden this spring so, no, I don't grow my own. Someday, I want to grow raspberries too (I have in the past). But putting in a new garden, made it smaller this year. I will just add to it every year. At least that is my idea. Haha...good intentions.
Do you grow your own berries? I try to find them in season at the Farmers Market, or U pick places. But I won't hesitate to pick them up at the store if the price is right!
    Hugs to you!
