Thanks for checking in. Thanks for your lovely comment on my page. Continuing to struggle with how the numbers on the scale seem to make or break my day. Obviously I'm UP again today and I'm allowing it to get to me. Hope you are having a good one. emoticon

Long time no see. Just read my last post. Ha! Easy to say 'don't let the numbers on the scale derail you' when your feeling too skinny; not so easy to swallow when one is up by 16 pounds and feeling really fat and ugly. Ugh. Hope you are doing well. Happy New Year!

Thinking of you and hope you are doing well. I gained two pounds over the part couple of days but, like you, I expected it. Unlike you, I actually wanted it. I had dropped a few stress-related pounds (my way of coping) and was tired of explaining why I looked "so skinny" (large clothes passed down to me, no appetite, stomach issues, but no I'm not sick). Completely out of character (or luck) I was treated to not one but FOUR restaurant meals in the last seven days. Of course I'm going to put on weight. But I think my body needed those meals to counter-balance the stress I was experiencing. Also received an unexpected Thanksgiving invite for dinner later today. This time it's not about the food per se but the fact that someone reached out and asked me to join their extended family for a holiday I would otherwise be spending alone.
What's the point of all this rackety yack, you ask? I guess I'm trying to say don't let the numbers on the scale derail you. You are on the right path. Celebrate the good choices you are making.

Thank you for commenting on my page. I try to be supportive and encouraging in my comments. Guess I was a wee bit overly concerned since I encountered for the first time the other day a member responding in a less than emotionally healthy way. It's unfortunate that one feels they have to tread lightly on a site that's designed to be helpful.
BTW I applaud you for all the progress you have made thus far. YIPEEEEEE! Keep up the good work!
