Thanks for your thoughtful comment on my blog today . . . I'd also read a comment from a UK epidemiologist who says that it's not possible to protect those in the 50-70 age bracket and yeah, they can either continue in full voluntary lock-down themselves (what I'm pretty much doing!!) or run the risk of that "collateral damage" with the re-opening of the economy.

    No easy answers . . .

I appreciate your reasoned comments on my Live and Let live blog. I am totally on the side of masking (been doing it since March), and my particular trigger was on being called "AFRAID" for doing so! BUT, there is a huge difference between telling someone they are acting in a stupid way (as in putting everyone at risk) and characterizing them as a stupid person.

So, I try to be careful in how I bring it up to folks. But I still find my hackles raised when I see folks taking the argument "ad hominem".

Thank you for your thoughtful approach... and you are right, things have to be addressed. Once I've spoken up, I've done my bit.

    Thanks for your thoughtful comment!!

"Live and let live" . . . yeah. But if your choices to live your life may quite possibly not let me live mine??

The Canadian Charter of Rights and Freedoms makes no guarantees of absolute rights and very specifically addresses conflicting rights from a "balancing" perspective. It's a different culture.
