Introduction Text Like most women, I want to take care of everyone else first, and me if there's any time left... which there never is. I joined SP in Feb 08, but never really did anything with it until my big sister joined a month later, signed up for the Biggest Loser Challenge (#6), and had great success. She convinced me (it wasn't very hard!) to sign up for BLC-7 and join her team. I'm so happy that I did! My final BLC-7 results were 14.8 pounds lost and a combined total of 18.25 inches gone! More importantly, I have a different attitude toward food and exercise. I even had a bag of Dove's Dark Chocolates last over 6 weeks! Before this challenge, it would have been gone within a week. Because of the overwhelming enrollment in BLC-8, I had the opportunity to help organize and captain a new team. I captained for three rounds, and loved it, but had to take a break from the BLC when we bought and moved into our first home. Got back on track and felt really good... I was 10 lbs away from goal! When I got pregnant with our daughter, I continued with the BLC as a floater, which helped me keep my weight gain and gestational diabetes in check. I continued after she was born, although breastfeeding made the weight loss slow and I've been struggling to lose that "baby weight" for almost 4 years now! It's a journey, a lifestyle, and a commitment that I am making to (and for) myself!

Lose the jiggles. Feel better about myself, and let my husband "show me off". He works hard and he deserves to have a hot wife!

I want to be aware of what goes in my mouth. I'm going to allow myself an occasional indulgance, but maintain control over it! Exercise daily. Even if it's something light, like a walk with my husband and little boy. Acknowledge my small accomplishments. Congratulate myself if I passed on a slice of cheesecake, even if I didn't lose 3 lbs this week.
