Well there's a small world Larry!! We will be in my home town of Hastings, East Sussex. My mum was born in Groby, Leicester and I still have relations up there in the Midlands. It will be lovely to visit them. Yes I know that many English girls were swept off their feet and married Yanks in WWII. Your grandmother sounded a plucky girl and travelled far...I know it gets in the blood! My grandparents immigrated to South Africa in the early 1950s before I was born, my grandmother returned alone in mid 1970s. Since we have been here we have travelled to different countries in Africa many times. My husband Joseph feels a special calling to the African people. Thank you so much for your prayers...things are a little stressful here as we still need a buyer for this house. Blessings Janet 3247 days ago

Hi, Larry. It's me again. While neither of my parents had Alzheimer's, my dad died at 50 when a beri-aneurysm broke in his head. My mother fell at work 2 years later at 52 and her brain whiplashed up against the inside of her skull. She eventually ended up in a nursing home and all together it took her 26 years to die. Very hard on all of us. They were both so active and vibrant before this happened. Both were 'jaw-dropping great' on the dance floor. Today, they both may have had a chance to recover.
