Hi. Thanks for checking out my Spark Page. I'm Eileen and people call me Ei or IRISH. I live in Ohio!


I am in the PROCESS of reviewing my written Goals and updating them. I will Focus on Small Changes one at a time.


Member Since: 9/2/2010

My Goals:
1. To lose the weight needed for a healthier life.

2. Plan ahead + track meals, use portion control , plan my snack for the day.

3. Exercise at Silver sneaker classes or home

4. Drink 8 glasses of water daily

5. Eat 3 veggies + 3 fruits

6. Eat whole grains, poultry + fish

7. Get 7-8 hrs of sleep each night

8. Get needed rest daily. Do not overextend myself

9. To feel better each day as my goals are reached. Making sure to focus on plan.

10. To be well enough to continue to enjoy my grandchildren and spend time with them.THey are growing up
so fast.



My Program:
Currently following the WW plan + freestyle

I use my Recreation center for classes, walking track, and treadmill.
Go back to using the SPINNER once my doctor allows me to.

When not at the gym, plan at home dvd or walking outdoors on nice day.

Remember to PRAY + Thank God daily for all my blessings, follow his Will + guidance in all things. Without HIM I am nothing. My faith is very important to me.




Personal Information:

I have 3 wonderful adult children, one son and two daughters. I also have 3 grandchildren that I enjoy spending time with and taking care of when needed. They are a JOY to me.
I volunteer at my church, love to read, play games and cards and spend time with friends and family.

I have some health problems and this keeps me from doing as much as I used to. I do the BEST I can each day and make sure to stay active doing something physical even when I am unable to go to the Y or the Rec. center. I always say, I can't complain, some have things much worse than me. I am really blessed.

    Got more meals made for the freezer so we’ll be set when we get back home.

    Feel so bad for John. He just had a tough day w/everything. But he felt a little better after we got done he felt a little better. He’s been working very long days, which has kept him busy. That’s good.

    Here’s to a wonderful Wednesday.

    Thanks Ei. Surgeon said I'm doing great, called me a miracle with how good I've done. Since I had such a bad my break and having osteopenia, soft bones. The achiness, popping, tugs, etc he said is normal. He said most people in my situation would only have half the mobility of my shoulder/arm. He said muscles will atrophy if we don't keep up lifting weights and exercises for it. Also, that it will ache more after exercise than the other arm too. Because of the trauma to the muscles, joints and tendons and they have to grow back and heal.
    So keep up the exercise, we don't want to have muscle atrophy or frozen shoulder!!!

    Thanks so much for the reply about how you are doing with your shoulder replacement. I am glad you are doing so well. I only had 6 visits of PT and my insurance wouldn't allow anymore last year. So basically on my own, unless pay for it out of my own pocket. Aetna insurance is not good! Glad we have BCBS now! I have been lax in my exercises this last few months, so that could explain why my arm feels a little weaker and those little issues I have with it. Hope the xray doesn't show any problems with the bone and the rod fusion. I have osteoarthritis too, so that could be the slight pain I feel sometimes. Sigh.
    Have a good Tuesday. Will let you know what surgeon says today. emoticon
