    Are you interested in a Challenge?

    The Biggest Loser goes for 10 weeks. It consists of 10 teams participating in weekly Fitness and Nutrition challenges. The Spring challenge will be getting started the beginning of March. It consists of fitness and nutrition challenges that are often in a form of a game. If for some reason you cannot do a challenge then they are modified to meet your needs. Often we do the challenge in a game form, we have BINGO and TIC TAC TOE or seasonally themed. For Winter we had Help Santa Fill His Sleigh, Run Rudolf Run and Super Bowl.     I invested in a digital scale. I truly like it cause I can weigh in oz, grams, and pounds.

    For snacks no matter what I eat I look on the package for what is a portion. Like popcorn, a single serving size is 28 grams. I then measure it out and then snack on it a little bit at a time. Usually I can make a single serving of popcorn last about an hour, because I eat it very slowly. This has taken practice on my part I must say. I now just really appreciate my snacks and plan for them every day.

    As for cookies, if the package says one 1 cookie then that's all I take. But like I said I'm not a sweet eater, I rather have popcorn, chips or pretzels. I love chips, and when I started this journey I gave everything up. That was not a good choice, because then I would sneak and over eat whatever was in the house. By knowing and allowing my snack on a regular basis, it became easier to just do a single portion.

    Another trick I use is that I make a lot of sugar free jello with fruit. I add lite cool whip or fat free cool whip and that is a dessert for me. I make parfaits quite often. Also if I'm craving something chocolate which is not very often I get those jello pudding cups. One cup is only 60 calories.

    Like I said it has taken a while to get to this point, but all I know is that because I plan for a snack without guilt, it has help me quite a bit. I no longer constantly look for anything more.
