I used to be quite an active member, but I have been lurking in the background here at SparkPeople for the past year. Now I am back to tracking my food again daily and have lost some weight. My feet have been horribly painful, and as I am on them all day at work, it has been a struggle. Dr's orders to lose 10% of my body weight... almost there, but won't stop. I definitely need to lose more. Then, recently, I was in my first car accident. I was injured (but not serious or life threatening) and in a lot of pain physically for a week or so, but found the mental suffering to be most difficult to deal with. Feeling a little withdrawn and not driving any more than I have to. I've moved back to NY state to be near some other members of my family. This will be my first real winter in a long time. So, as is perpetually true, Life Is Change, and mine is no exception. Hoping to get back into the social aspect of SP, connect with some friends, and share support.

My Goals:
My goal is to find a healthy, sustainable way to eat as a lifestyle ... not a diet. I tried low carb and. although I lost weight initially, it is not sustainable and it really doesn't appear to be healtnhy for a cheese addict like me. Cheese 3 meals a day is too much. Eggs 2 meals a day is too much. Whole foods plant based has been exciting so far. No oil, no eggs, no dairy but all the veggies, fruits, whole grains I love.

My Program:
Vegan/WFPB lifestyle

Personal Information:
64 years old and relatively healthy. Bad feet, but better now than they used to be, so no complaints. Working full time. Too lazy to work out right now..... must work on that.
