I'm Jen. I'm just like anyone else on this journey. I did it once, and was doing great. I went from just over 250lbs to about 165lbs. Well, I started grad school in 2011 and gained it all back... and then some.

In July 2013, I found out I was pregnant! We were not really trying, but not really preventing. My first appointment I was terrified to get on the scale. I knew I had gained, but had no idea how much. I weighed in at a whopping 287!! YIKES. I've never been that heavy. I knew I had to take control of my eating habits during pregnancy.

Fast forward to January 2014. I am due March 16th with a baby boy we are naming Leo. I weigh in at 295. My goal was no more than 10lb of weight gain, but with almost 2 months left, we'll see. My doctor said up to 15lbs is okay.

My first goal is to get back under 200. I cannot believe I've crept so close to 300 pounds. It's unheard of. Or so I thought. I am not giving myself any time limits, simply because I'll have a newborn. My final goal is about 150, but I think if I get back to about 170 I'll be happy.

So for now, it's all about getting my veggies in and keeping this baby boy healthy!

My Goals:
For the remainder of pregnancy:

-2 Servings of Fruit Daily
-3 Servings of Veggies Daily
-Limit sweets and processed foods


My Program:
For the remainder of pregnancy:

Mindful of what I am eating, but not counting calories.

Prenatal yoga 3-4 times a week.

Walking whenever possible (due to weather).



Personal Information:
I'm 24, married to the love of my life and pregnant! Our first baby is due in March. I have two doggies. A pug, Gizmo and a rescue, Sierra. I love to bike, cook, do yoga and read. I graduated with my Master's in clinical mental health counseling in December and plan to look for a new job this summer. For now I am a social worker for at-risk families.


Other Information:
I feel emotional well being and stress management is an important key to healthy living.
