I love lighthouses. This picture was taken at Northwestern University. In my Truman St. Univ. jacket

Hi! No, I haven't been swimming in close to five years. I had surgery on my foot, and got an infection. Then they discovered that I had a problem with my hips and I had to have both hips replaced. After that healed, I needed a knee revision replacement because of the way I had been walking (because of my hips). I had the knee replacement done and fell. I broke a vertebra in my back. After that healed, I had to have my wrist reconstructed. Once everything had healed, I was ready to return to working out. I was sitting in stopped northbound traffic on a major Interstate, on my way to pick up a few things before I started working out. Traffic was totally stopped due to a fatal accident about 500 feet in front us. As I was waiting, a car from the southbound lanes came flipping across the median and into a group of cars (including my new car). During the course of this accident, I suffered a traumatic brain injury. I started treatment for the injury, starting in January. It has been a long and very painful process. At the beginning of March, the doctor told me to try to increase my activity by doing light workouts. Of course the very next week the COVID-19 virus hit and as you know, we're all on lock down.. We joke that if it weren't for bad luck, I wouldn't have any luck. I will once again fight my way back to health. We've been walking around our neighborhood when it is cool enough. Of course the pollen count and air quality are awful and the temperatures are unseasonably high. I do what I can and know that this to shall pas. I hope to be back in the water when all of this is over.
