Balance. That is how I live now. I went to dinner with my family tonight to celebrate my dad's 74th birthday. I didn't eat the best and had a couple adult beverages but I'm NOT beating myself up for enjoying myself. I eat clean a lot more than I don't, and run, I bike, I strength train. Sparkpeople has taught me not to diet and live in disgust with myself, but to live healthy and confident.

I hope you love your Garmin if you get it for Christmas. I used to just use my Samsung fitness app and then I got an older Garmin for outdoors when I started getting serious about training last year. 1161 days ago

I love running because of the community and because it helps me to get in better shape (especially trail running). But my "healthy" obsession (LOL) is biking. You got a new bike this year???? (I think it's perfect cross-training) 1161 days ago

Cool that you push yourself like that!!!! I'm impressed with where you healthy "obsession" has taken you. I have always thought that everything in life seems better (even when things are tough) when you are regularly accomplishing your fitness goals. 1161 days ago

700 miles running in a year is super impressive! I belong to a FB running group in Michigan...which is awesome...they meet up at least 4X a week for runs and post a FB "event" for each one. Which creates a pretty cool community of people regularly meeting for a run. But I've never joined a group as an incentive to log more miles....I'll look into that....TY 1161 days ago

Hey - Awesome!!! Thank you Trina. Hoping for a new Garmin watch over Christmas (Fenix)...so I'll check if that has either an indoor or a treadmill option on the tracking. Been using my current one for 2 years now - but never tried to track indoor activity. 1161 days ago
