Hi, I am Kate and I welcome you to my page. I am 52, married, live in Indiana and work as an RN. After quitting smoking on Jan 30, 2013, I began my journey to weight loss & fitness on June 1, 2013 at 261 pounds. I would love to share ideas and inspirations with others to help us all move down the road to success toward our goals!

After allowing old bad habits to return in the last two months of 2013, these are my 2014 goals:

Body: Lose weight and body fat each week while maintaining lean mass. Attain 160 pounds by end of 2014.
Mind: Read 12 books this year
Spirit: Lead Made to Crave discussion group and be a facilitator for Disciple Bible Study.

-Adhere to my Unleash Your Thin eating plan
-Work out 5x week - Weights 3x week & Cardio 5x week (45 min on non-weights days, 20 min on weight days)
-Drink 8 or more glasses of water per day
-Get at least 7 hours of sleep per day
-Eat at least 5 servings of veggies daily

-Participate in Spark Coach for at least one month.
-Track all intake for one month
-Provide encouragement to others
-Read Read Read!
-Get college transcripts and complete application to continue my education in the spring.

-Spend time with God first thing every morning
-Facilitate Made to Crave & Disciple Studies
-Make every effort to attend all Bible Studies provided by my pastor this year
-Spend time reading scripture & praying daily

Ongoing goal
-Achieve & Maintain Healthy balance in my life with Body-Mind-Spirit
-Be in control of what and how I eat!
-Make continual progress toward measurable goals.

Short-term measurable goals
- Check in to Spark People daily.
-Decrease weight and fat % weekly while maintaning lean mass.
-Go to the gym 5x weekly - Cardio 5x, weights 3x

-Achieve and Maintain a healthy weight - 160 #
-Lose Fat - Achieve & maintain a total fat percentage of no more than 30%
-Complete a 50 mile charity bike ride by end of autumn.
-Buy my clothes off a regular rack and not the Women's stores and departments.

-SparkPeople daily for inspiration, motivation, and education.

-Unleash Your Thin plan, by Dr. Jonny Bowden. His program is a limited carb way of eating.

-Anytime Fitness - 5x weekly. Weight training 3x and cardio 5x!

-Use Spark Coach for motivation and consistency during January 2014
