Hi All! I'm here for your support and motivation to reach my weight loss goal. I have been struggling with my weight my entire life, but in recent years I have gained quite a bit of weight.

I've reached toward reaching my goals of weight loss and wellness several times over, but somehow circle back to old habits/old comforts. I've never been a yo-yo dieter per se. I've never lost a ton of weight from any particular diet or lifestyle - I've just steadily gained weight over the years. I really want to get the excess weight off but I'm at a point where I also NEED to!

I try to maintain a positive attitude and I have learned to speak positively to myself and about myself. To my amazement it really keeps my self-esteem at a higher level than it ever was before.

I look forward to talking with Sparkpeople members and sharing stories, tips, and recipes (I love to cook!). And, I would love to have a buddy - someone to talk to and briefly check in with regularly on progress and challenges with my program. :-) I need help staying encouraged!!

I once signed up for a challenge on here but sadly, did not complete it. I look forward to being inspired, motivated and more engaged in this process of getting & staying fit.

My Goals:
I have reset my goals to just 3 days of exercise per week, for now. I need to make this an immediately attainable goal to feel some success.
I set out to drink 9 cups of water a day and eat 5-6 servings or more of veggies & fruits.
I also set out to stop eating by 8pm.
Additional Goals:
AVOID potato chips (I almost live for plain, salted chips), processed meats (proscuitto is a serious weakness for me), wine (I love a glass or two after work but I need to just leave it out while I work on my body), and carbonated drinks (that LaCroix Coconut water is delicious but I need to cut it out for a while).

My Program:
I track my calorie, sodium, fat and carb intake, trying to stay within healthy ranges for each.
I alternate between cardio and strength training exercises for my workouts. I enjoy pilates and I'm trying to get into yoga (not there yet).

Personal Information:
It would be fun to chat with and build a support network of buddies here at Sparkpeople!

Other Information:
"Lord, make me so uncomfortable that I will do the very thing I fear." - Ruby Dee

I like this quote because it helps me to push a little harder toward success in all areas of my life - even though I've been scared to pieces at times.
